If you are a conservative in America, these last few weeks have been hell. When war is on the cards it’s usually a cause for huge celebrations that the military might of the US is being brought to the attention of enemies both “foreign and domestic”; not to mention all of those huge sales for the defence industry and, of course, Halliburton.
But things have not been straightforward since George W‘s presidential term came to an end. This time supporting war means backing what President Obama has asked for and that “just don’t seem right, do it?”
