Casual observers could be forgiven for thinking Donald Trump is about to be inaugurated as the next President of the United States; after all, what could possibly be the reason for the hourly reporting of his every imbecilic utterance across the world’s broadcast media?
It is certainly depressing to see how the BBC and the other major UK broadcasters are covering his campaign on a daily basis while simultaneously almost completely ignoring the Democratic party’s presidential candidates. This is all the more extraordinary when one considers that the polling in the US has both of the leading Democrats, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, trouncing Trump in any Presidential run-off.
Anyhoo, this blog will start covering Democalypse 2016 from today, but no, not in a journalistic way. Every week or so, for as long as I can get away with it, this blog will carry a catch-up video of a week in the presidential campaign as reported by the US’s best fake news and satirical comedy shows (according to me!)
