Jon Stewart talks politics and satire on Axe Files Live (University of Chicago video)

Regular readers of this blog know that my admiration for Jon Stewart knows no bounds and his near total absence from broadcast media since ending his run on the Daily Show has been disheartening for so many reasons. In this, his first and (to my knowledge) only substantive interview about his thoughts on the current state of the US political landscape, he shares his thoughts on Trump, Clinton, media bias, the limits of satire and what he hopes for the future with former Obama (and Ed Miliband) adviser David Axelrod – a future that sadly won’t include any further TV projects with Stewart at the helm.
