With Speaker John Boehner bragging about his broken Congress this weekend, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched an online ad campaign telling Congressman Michael Grimm to stop being part of the problem.
On Face the Nation this weekend, Speaker Boehner said that Congressman Grimm and his Republican colleagues should be “judged on how many laws we repeal.” In practice, the House Republicans’ All-Repeal Agenda has created unparalleled gridlock — not jobs — and Congressman Grimm is part of the problem of a dysfunctional Congress.
“Americans want jobs, not a partisan, all-repeal agenda from Congressman Michael Grimm that hurts the middle class,” said Emily Bittner of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “If this gridlock and partisanship don’t stop, Americans will judge Congressman Grimm not on how many laws Washington Republicans repealed, but on whether he stood up for everyday Americans against the broken Congress — and right now Congressman Grimm is failing.”
